The poster “AlexearleSnark” wanted to prove that Alix Earle used racial slurs. This was as a 13-year-old on ASKfm.

Alix Earle did not immediately address the post from Reddit. At least not until some podcast creators brought it to light. Recently, the post crawled up TikTok and Subreddits. In the shared photo, Earle typed “nigga.” It’s been ten years and the internet refuses to forget. Now Alix has come under fire as the post resurfaced. Jessi Smiles and Lily Marton’s Do We Know Them? shared the post. However, they claimed the “It girl’s” legal team contacted them.

According to Smiles and Morton, they had violated infringement rights. This was because Alix’s old post had been trademarked. In a follow-up episode of their podcast, they shared Alix Earle’s lawyer’s response to the situation. The duo disclosed that the lawyer said they had violated a copyright infringement. Many people posted the screenshot on their subreddit, so Smiles and Morton wondered why Alix’s lawyer claimed they had a trademark to that. Amid the accusations, Alix did not immediately respond. When she did, it was first to apologize to fans.

The TikToker acknowledged that she was wrong even as a teenager. Alix maintained that her words were inexcusable. She apologized for the hurt her words had caused and then proceeded to emphasize that she is now different. The media personality further stated that she has no prejudice in her heart. Once Alix Earle showed remorse, she faced rumors of her trademarked comments. She directly addressed Smiles and Marton’s claims.

Earle said they filled in rumors because of her long-term silence. However, she blamed herself for keeping quiet for too long. She also added that the rumor that she trademarked her old posts was laughable and false. So far there have been mixed reactions. Meanwhile, Smiles and Marton still maintain their accusations. To amplify their claim, the duo shared a statement.
