Cristiano Ronaldo Reveals Real Reason Behind his Euro 2024 ‘Tears’

In an interview with former Manchester United teammate Rio Ferdinand, Cristiano Ronaldo expressed his feelings about the missed penalty. He made it clear that he did not cry because it was over for Portugal or how his performance may affect the team’s chances. According to him, it was more to do with his family.

“When you have passion for what you’re doing, you cannot be worried about your feelings,” Cristiano Ronaldo said. “I cried the day I missed the penalty that, in my opinion, Oblak made a fantastic save. I cried not because I thought the world would collapse if I missed that penalty and Portugal got eliminated.”
