Wide Receivers Week 2 Waiver Wire

The first week of the NFL is complete now heading into week two. Fantasy owners are ready to adjust their rosters by hitting the waiver wire. This past week there have been some wide receivers that have made an impact on teams this week that are now on the radar for fantasy owners. Here is a list of the top four receivers that can help any roster for week two.

Rashid Shaheed WR, (NO)

The New Orleans Saints blew out the Division Rivals Carolina Panthers Sunday. Rashid was one of the receivers that dominated the Panthers secondary. Shaheed had a 59-yard touchdown reception that started off the scoring for the Saints. Shaheed is an option for fantasy owners because of his ability to speed past and outrun defenders. Look to pick up Rashid this week against Dallas who tend to be to aggressive and give up big plays.

Alec Pierce WR, (IND)

Alec Pierce had a huge game for the Colts on Sunday. He had three receptions for 125 yards and a touchdown. Pierce and quarterback Anthony Richardson were on the same page Sunday. It is something to definitely look at, with Pierce as a flex option moving forward. His big play ability will help the Colts this season. The Colts will take on the Packers next week in Green Bay, the Colts will look to exploit their weakness in the passing game. The Packers gave up 266 yards in passing against the Eagles in the first game of the season.

Greg Dortch WR, (ARZ)

The Arizona Cardinals suffered a heartbreaking loss against the Buffalo Bills on Sunday. Quarterback Kyler Murray seemed to trust Dortch more in the slot than rookie Marvin Harrison Jr. But it is still too early to determine the duo of Murray and Harrison. Dortch had eight targets but only four receptions for 47 yards. The Bills have a good defense so it’s understandable the low numbers. Dortch can be a good WR3 or flex for the season depending on matchups throughout the year.

Demarcus Robinson WR, (LAR)

Robinson can see his role for the Los Angeles Rams elevated since wide receiver Puke Nacua is now sustaining an injury from Sunday night's game against the Lions. With Nacua out, Robinson can easily be a WR2 in all PPR leagues. Robinson came alive for the Rams at the tail end of the season last year. Robinson will see more action throughout the week if Nacua is sidelined for a long period of time.

Final Thoughts

These top four wide receivers for the week two waiver wire can help any PPR league in fantasy football. These wideouts can contribute to the WR3 position/flex position. Even though it is still very early in the NFL season. Soon there will be limited availability as the season continues to roll on.
