Giants vs. Commanders DFS Start'Em Sit'Em Week 2

The Washington Commanders will host the New York Giants Sunday at Northwest Stadium after a horrendous loss in Tampa Bay Week 1.

Both teams are looking for their first win of the season. The Giants lost their home opener against the Minnesota Vikings 28-6. The Giants finished just above the Commanders last season at 6-11. Washington was 4-13, so both teams will be playing with something to prove.

Here are three Commanders who are due to blow up your DFS outlooks for Week 2.

Jayden Daniels, QB, Washington Commanders (DraftKings: $6,200 Fan Duel: $7,900)

All things considered; Jayden Daniels had a pretty solid performance. He completed 17 of 24 passes for 184 yards. He also debuted his run game, rushing for 88 yards and two touchdowns on 16 attempts. Going into Week 2 with a loss will only motivate Daniels to put his feet to work even more, and try to tear apart what’s left of the Giants’ secondary.

Last week, the Vikings threw for 201 yards against the Giants’ secondary. They rushed for 111 yards. If the Commanders O-Line can give Daniels the amount of time they did in Week 1, Daniels may be able to put together a solid performance and get the Commanders their first win.

Terry McLaurin, WR, Washington Commanders (DraftKings: $5,700 Fan Duel $6,000)

Expect Terry McLaurin to become part of the conversation Sunday against the New York Giants. The Buccaneers managed to keep his name a whisper, only allowing for him to catch two for 17 yards. He was only targeted four times.

Fantasy owners should expect McLaurin to be a major factor in this game. Keep in mind the Giants had a hard time Sunday stopping Minnesota’s pass game. The Vikings scored 28 points, with quarterback Sam Darnold completing 19 of 24 passes for 208 yards and two touchdowns.

Zach Ertz, TE, Washington Commanders (DraftKings: $3,500 Fan Duel $4,800)

Also, be prepared for Daniels to give Zach Ertz more look as this may be the game he spreads the ball out. On Sunday On Sunday, Ertz caught three passes for 28 yards and was targeted four times, tying for the team-high in targets. It’s obvious they want to do more with Ertz. His price can make him a great equalizer for Fantasy owners this week. Expect him to be a bigger target in the first half as the Commanders work to establish their pass game.

Giants vs. Commanders DFS Sit’em

Luke McCaffrey, WR, Washington Commanders (DraftKings $3,800 Fan Duel $4,300)

Luke McCaffery, another new face to the Commanders franchise, was targeted three times and caught all three for 18 yards. Going into Week 2 with a loss may not make him a high-value target. More than likely, the Commanders will focus on getting McLaurin in the game early. If they do play him, expect it to be late in the Second half, but don’t expect much out of McCaffery this week. This is a great spot to play your high-valued WR2.
