The Commanders come into their home opener fresh off a 37-20 road loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 1, which saw Baker Mayfield torch their secondary for 289 yards and a lofty 9.6 YPA. Jayden Daniels brings another strong test for the Giant secondary that struggled against Sam Darnold. The Commandeers are 1-8 ATS in their last nine home games and 3-7 ATS in their previous ten games as a favorite. In addition, Washington is 0-5 ATS last five as a chalk and eye-opening 2-8 ATS last 10 against the Giants.

Prediction

This NFC East division battle should be closely contested throughout. The public will be all over the Commanders but I expect a motivated Daniel Jones and the Giants to play better in week two. As of this writing, there is sharp money on the Giants. Vegas' opening line had Washington at -3 and getting 75% of spread bets and yet the line dropped to -1.5. This is the betting edge reverse line movement we speak of.
