Eagles vs Bucs DFS Start’Em/Sit’em September 29th, 2024
22 days ago
The Eagles vs Bucs will be a highly anticipated rematch from last year’s Wild Card Game. Philly and Tampa Bay are both 2-1 entering this matchup. Both teams are currently experiencing injuries to key players, so the game might be played with many backups that you wouldn’t expect to be on the field most of the time.
Also, with Hurricane Helene passing through the Florida area, the humidity and likelihood of thunderstorms in Tampa Bay will affect the DFS scene for this game. Let’s take a look at the starts ems for the Eagles vs Bucs.
Philadelphia Eagles vs Tampa Bay Buccaneers DFS Start ‘Ems
Here are a few of the players we are heavily leaning on in the Eagles vs. Bucs game. These players are in a good spot to have a solid performance and a favorable matchup.
Saquon Barkley has been the best running back on the field this season as he is leading the league in rushing yards with 351 yards and has four rushing touchdowns. He also hasdthat amazing touchdown catch against the Packers which tied Alvin Kamara for the lead in total touchdowns for running backs. Barkley is averaging over 28 points per game on FanDuel and 30.1 on Draft Kings.
With the weather like it’s going to be, this should be a rushing game, and the Eagles have the better O-line. With Vita Vea on the Buccaneers’ injury report, the run lanes should be opened up for Barkley, thus making Barkley the Lock of the Game for Eagles vs. Bucs.
AJ Brown ($7,800 Draft Kings, $8,300 FanDuel)
AJ Brown is officially questionable with the hamstring injury he suffered before the Week 2 loss against the Falcons. Brown had 23.40 fantasy points on FanDuel in his only appearance of the season thus far in Brazil against the Packers.
Brown is a start every time he’s healthy and in the lineup, so I’m listing him here, even with the Hamstring. Keep an eye on the GTD around Noon on Sunday to see if Brown suits up for the Eagles vs Bucs matchup.
Eagles vs Bucs DFS Sit ‘Ems
On the flip side, here are a few of the players we are sitting in Eagles vs. Bucs.
Rachaad White ($6,000 Draft Kings, $6,200 FanDuel)
Rachaad White is struggling right now, only averaging slightly over 9 points per game on Draft Kings and 7.5 points per game on Fan Duel. White has been lacking the overall production he had in Dave Canales’s offense last season, with the possible rumors that rookie Bucky Irving will take his role in the offense sooner rather than later.
Jahan Dotson ($5,000 Draft Kings, $5,800 FanDuel)
Dotson has been underwhelming so far in an Eagles uniform to start the season. Granted, the former Penn State standout is still trying to accumulate with Jalen Hurts.
This week in the Eagles vs. Bucs matchup, Dotson is still a sit even with the more opportunities thanks to Devonta Smith being officially ruled out with the concussion he suffered late in the Saints game last week. Dotson will be someone to keep an eye on after the bye.
Saquon Barkley has been the best running back on the field this season as he is leading the league in rushing yards with 351 yards and has four rushing touchdowns. He also had that amazing touchdown catch against the Packers which tied him with Alvin Kamara with the lead in total touchdowns for running backs. Barkley is averaging over 28 points per game on FanDuel and 30.1 on Draft Kings.
With the weather like it’s going to be this should be a rushing game and the Eagles have the better O-line, also with Vita Vea on the Buccaneers’ injury report, the run lanes should be opened up for Barkley, thus making Barkley the Lock of the Game for Eagles vs Bucs.
Total Apex Fade of the Game
Buccaneers Defense ($2,700 Draft Kings, $3,700 Fan Duel)
The Buccaneers’ Defense is the Total Apex Fade of the Game because of all of the injuries they have, including being without star safety Antoine Winfield Jr. and young stud Cajiah Kancey.
The Buccaneers have historically given Jalen Hurts problems, especially in the playoffs, but Todd Bowles’s defense is limping into this week as the 23rd-ranked pass defense and 26th-ranked run defense, which, with the threat of Saquon, will give Philly’s 2nd-ranked offense the huge edge in this game.
Conclusion
The Eagles vs. Bucs game would be more of a fun DFS pick if the squads were fully healthy because the game would be a fast-paced, back-and-forth game. But with the injuries and the weather, this Eagles vs Bucs matchup is going to be about running the ball for the most part so play Saquon Barkley in every DFS format possible this weekend.
