The Los Angeles Rams are coming off an excellent win against the San Francisco 49ers without their two best receivers. Matthew Stafford and the Rams make the comeback from being down 14 in the 1st quarter. Kyren Williams was sensational.

Against the 9ers, he had 24 carries for 89 yards, caught two passes for 27 yards, and scored three touchdowns including the game-tying touchdown with 1:54 minutes left. Tutu Atwell had a great game as well. He caught four passes for 93 yards, including the 50-yard pass that would set up the game-tying touchdown.

The Rams' defense has been abysmal to start the season. Their rankings are 31st in opponent points per game (30.3), opponent passing yards per game (248.7), 30th in rushing yards allowed per game (177), 29th in offensive touchdowns allowed (11), and 28th in sacks (4).

Los Angeles' defense can't get teams off the field on third down either, allowing a 54.3% conversion rate on third down. To put it in layman's terms, they are terrible defensively.

Chicago Bears

The Chicago Bears and Caleb Williams are coming off a loss against the Indianapolis Colts. Against the Colts, Williams had his best game of his career thus far. He completed 33 of 52 passes for 363 yards, two touchdowns and two picks.

We also saw in this game the rookie-to-rookie connection started to pick up. Rome Odunze caught six passes for 112 yards and a touchdown. Tight end, Cole Kmet, had a career day, catching 10 passes for 97 yards and a touchdown. We can see this offense starting to pick up a little bit after the first two weeks.

The Bears' defense through the first three games has been the reason Chicago has been in every game. They rank 10th in opponent scoring per game (19), 7th in opponent passing yards per game (165), and takeaways per game (2). This unit will continue to get better as the season goes on. Against the Los Angeles Rams without their two best receivers, if the Bears can hold them to under 24, that'll put them in a great position to win this game.

Prediction

I have the Chicago Bears winning this game against the Los Angeles Rams and covering the spread. The Rams' win last week was an outlier. They were getting outplayed thoroughly in that game without their top two receivers. Caleb Williams should feast on this bottom-five defense and take another leap from what we saw last week against the Colts.

Keenan Allen has a chance to play in this game as well which is another weapon for Williams, assuming he plays. I don't believe the injury-riddled Los Angeles Rams will beat the Chicago Bears who have improved every week.
