Ramsey, who scored his first Champions League goal in Aston Villa’s 3-0 victory over Young Boys in their opening match, reflected on how special this journey has been for him personally.

“When I was coming through, we were quite a big distance away from playing in the Champions League, and now I’m in the first team and it’s the reality,” he added “The lads had a brilliant season last season coming fourth. Just looking forward for my family to be there, for my friends to be there and enjoy.”
