Milwaukee went 4-of-13 with runners in scoring position while stranding six Brewers on base. Freddy Peralta did a decent job as he threw four innings and gave up three runs in a no-decision.

Righty Frankie Montas (7-11, 4.84 ERA) is going to be on the mound for the Milwaukee Brewers in Game 2 and he is looking to improve in the postseason in his first full season back from shoulder surgery. He struggled as he allowed a career-high 24 home runs this season over the course of 150.2 innings. Montas faced the Mets once this season and did not factor into the decision on Sept. 27 as he pitched four innings and gave up two runs on two hits with one hit by pitch, three walks, and six strikeouts.
