Destiny 2 Vesper's Host Dungeon Details

Episode Revenant includes the first new dungeon of the year, Vesper's Host, in Destiny 2. Vesper's Host will be similar to raids, being the first dungeon to have a contest mode in Destiny 2, with the first three fireteams to clear the dungeon getting the glory and rewards.

Vesper's Host Dungeon Release Date

The Destiny 2 Vesper's Host Dungeon has been officially announced by Bungie to be released on October 11, 2024, three days after the launch of Episode Revenant. The contest mode of Vesper's Host would be active for the first 48 hours after the release of the mode, and during this period, expect to face more aggressive enemies and intricate mechanics all over the dungeon. Once the first three fireteams have completed the dungeon and claimed their rewards, the Vesper's Host normal mode will be made available to the players.

Bungie hosted a special developer livestream to reveal details about Destiny 2's Episode Revenant. And with this new episode, comes one of the most anticipated content drops of the year in Destiny 2 and in the gaming community. It has been announced to officially launch next week on Tuesday, October 8, 2024, in Destiny 2. Before the livestream, Bungie had consistently talked about increasing the challenge in Destiny 2, and dungeons have forever been some of the most difficult endgame activities in Destiny 2 that require proper coordination between fireteam members to be able to succeed. With that, players concluded that since Vesper's Host is the first dungeon to have a contest mode in the game, the new dungeon would be more challenging than any other dungeon in Destiny 2.

Clearing the Vesper's Host dungeon within the first 48 hours of its release would win you a special emblem and the dungeon's exotic weapon, including a few other rewards. Also, a fan-loved Destiny 1 weapon Ice Breaker, an Exotic Sniper rifle would be available to the players in the Vesper's Host dungeon, as confirmed by Bungie in their 10th anniversary post. Bungie said, “As you may have already guessed thanks to our key art, a certain Exotic Sniper Rifle, one considered a myth by many at this point, is resurfacing in the upcoming Dungeon. We’ll share more info at a later date, but we hope this helped… break the ice.”

Destiny 2 is surely planning to bring some insane features, including the Ice Breaker Exotic weapon from Destiny 2 that players thought was a myth at some point, and a lot of rewards for players who beat the dungeons. Players are definitely going to be satisfied with what Bungie is doing with Destiny 2. In all, Vesper's Host would be the most challenging dungeon in the game, and while that's the case, it would offer worthwhile rewards to players who complete the dungeon.
