Eminem is going to be a grandfather. The rapper announced his daughter, Hailie Jade's pregnancy on Thursday, Oct. 3. Jade, 28, is expecting her first child with husband Evan McClintock. They have been together for a while and got married in May 2024. This will be the first child for the couple.

Eminem Announces His Daughter's Pregnancy

On Thursday, Eminem, 51, announced in an emotional video that he would become a grandpa. The Mockingbird rapper disclosed this detail in a recent video for his new song, Temporary. Eminem's video featuring Skylar Grey was a montage of Jade's childhood pictures. The rapper dedicated the song to his daughter as his parting gift to her. In one part of the song, Eminem tells Hailie he wrote the music to help her cope when he is no more. In Temporary. he "vowed to protect" her as her "guardian angel."

Toward the end of the video, a home recording showed Jade handing Eminem a jersey. The word at the back read "Grandpa" with the number 1. The rapper, stunned and almost crying, held up the sonogram Jade also gave to him. Shortly after Eminem's Temporary video was released, his daughter also shared the news. She posted photos on Instagram of herself holding the sonogram while McClintock hugged her. In her caption, she revealed that the baby is due next year.

Hailie Jade Tied The Knot This Year

Hailie Jade married her longtime beau in May 2024. The couple had been together for six years before getting engaged. Jade and McClintock met at Michigan State University in 2016 and started dating. McClintock proposed to Jade on Feb. 4, 2023. The Just a Little Shady podcast host announced the news on her Instagram. She posted a photo of her boyfriend on one knee and another of her engagement ring.

The couple said their vows over a year later. The podcast host and influencer announced it on Instagram afterward with some photos of the event. "Waking up a wife this week 🥲💍⁣. We couldn't have asked for a better, more beautiful weekend celebration. So so many happy tears were shed, laughs & smiles were had, & so much love was felt. Evan and I are feeling so grateful for all of the family & friends that traveled to support us and be a part of this new chapter of our lives as husband & wife 🤍," she captioned it.

Eminem Supports Jade and McClintock

In an episode of Jade's podcast, McClintock revealed some details about the proposal. He disclosed that he got Eminem's blessing to propose during Jade's birthday party in December 2022. McClintock followed the Somebody Save Me rapper downstairs and revealed his plans to him. He added that he found the engagement ring a day after he spoke to Eminem. McClintock also disclosed that Jade's sister, Alaina Marie, helped him pick the right ring. She told him, "What for sure not to get."

Eminem has also been vocal about his love for Jade and her romance with McClintock. The rapper has written several songs dedicated to her, including Mockingbird, a fan favorite. Moreover, during a 2020 interview on Hotboxin' With Mike Tyson, he shared that he was proud of his daughter. "No babies," he answered when asked if Jade had any children. He noted that she had a boyfriend and was doing okay.
