Carlo Ancelotti Believes Carvajal will Overcome His Big Injury Setback

Carlo Ancelotti’s side was hit with a shocking injury to their star right-back, Carvajal, during their clash against Villarreal. The Spaniard was reported to have suffered a knee injury during the clash. This is set to rule him out for several weeks. Coach Carlo Ancelotti believes he’ll be back stronger, and he was full of confidence in the right-back.

In the last La Liga, they were held to a 1-all draw against their neighbors Atletico Madrid. Also, Los Blancos was shocked at Lille in the Champions League, as they lost one nil. Their game against Villarreal needed a solid response. This was something Carlo Ancelotti clamored for. And they eventually delivered.

Ancelotti also assessed the injury and spoke about its severity level.

The Italian also spoke about how important Carvajal is to the team.

He continued about him saying: “The doctor has said it’s a knee injury, he hasn’t said what it really is because they have to do tests on him. But it’s not like it will change much. It’s an injury and hopefully, it’s as minor as possible.”

Ancelotti also spoke about the state of Vinicius’ injury. He added: “It’s blocked, he’s had a cervical problem. It hurts. He’ll have tests in the next few hours.”
