Arsenal and Chelsea are reportedly interested in Santos’ rising star Joao Pedro Chermont. The 18-year-old has enjoyed a breakthrough season in senior football during the 2024 campaign, playing regularly in Brazil’s second-tier league. Chermont has featured in 24 matches for Santos in the 2024 Serie B season, contributing two goals and three assists from his right-back position.

In addition to his club performances, Chermont has gained some international experience, having appeared seven times for Brazil’s Under-17 team over the past year. This has led to Arsenal and Chelsea’s backing his signature. Most recently, he played the full 90 minutes for Santos in their clean-sheet victory over Operario Ferroviario on September 29 under coach Fabio Carille.
