Destiny 2: Sojourner’s Tale God Roll Guide

Revenant is the second Episode to be released during The Final Shape expansion of Destiny 2. It launched with a new set of activities, weapons, as well as reprised weapons. These reprised weapons are from the Season of the Splicer and were popular back in the day.

They have returned this Episode with a new set of perks as well as a brand-new Origin Trait. This Trait is called Splicer Surge and allows the weapons to gain a boost to Reload Speed and Handling when reloading the weapon after dealing damage.

Sojourner’s Tale Overview

Sojourner’s Tale is a Pinpoint Slug Frame Shotgun, meaning it shoots a single high-damaging pellet with every shot. It has Solar affinity and thanks to the new perks has access to some Solar synergistic perks as well. Slug Shotguns are extremely powerful in The Crucible and are capable of doing really good burst DPS in PvE.

Sojourner’s Tale is dropping with 12 perks this time in Destiny 2. In the left column, players have Heal Clip, Auto-Loading Holster, Quickdraw, Moving Target, Discord, and Offhand Strike. In the right column, players have access to Air Trigger, Incandescent, Precision Instrument, Harmony, Swashbuckler, and Opening Shot.

PvE God Roll

For PvE, players want to boost the Range of Slug Shotguns so that they do not experience damage falloff. For this player should aim for Corkscrew Rifling as the Barrel perk, Accurized Rounds, and a Range Masterwork. In the left column, Auto-Loading Holster is the best general perk as it reloads the weapon automatically after having it stowed. Players can also find Solar synergy by using Heal Clip.

Heal Clip perk is complimented by Incandescent in the right column. Where Heal Clip provides health on reloading after a kill, Incandescent causes a Solar explosion upon a kill that Scorches nearby combatants. Both of these perks make for the ideal Solar weapon. Precision Instrument is another great damage-dealing perk that boosts the damage of the weapon with every shot. Making it the ideal DPS perk.

PvP God Roll

Slug Shotguns are powerful in The Crucible thanks to their one-shot potential at a fairly decent range. Again Range is the most important stat on this weapon. Hammer Forged Rifling with Accurized Rounds and a Range Masterwork should be used. In the left column, there are three perks that players can use depending on their play style. Quickdraw which provides better ready speed. Moving Target that provides better target acquisition.

Offhand Strike is another left-column perk in Sojourner's Tale that leans toward the hip-fire fantasy. Getting a kill with the weapon provides the player a duration of massively increased Range and Aim Assistance when firing from the hip. In the right column, there is only one correct option and that is Opening Shot. Opening Shot is the best perk for Special Ammo weapon in The Crucible. This perk provides the weapon with increased Range and target acquisition for the opening shot of the attack.
