The Story of Moana
Premiering in 2016, Moana follows the epic journey of a Polynesian princess. The ocean chooses her to return the Heart of Te Fiti. A gemstone containing the power of creation, it was stolen by the demigod Maui. And its theft gave birth to Te Kā, a demonic made of molten rock. Now, a blight threatens to destroy Moana's island and wipe out her people. The only way to stop it is to replace the Heart of Te Fiti.
During her quest, Moana meets Maui and has him join her in restoring the Heart. The pair encounter obstacles like the savage Kakamora pirates and the giant gold-loving crab Tamatoa. Maui even teaches Moana the art of way-finding, and she helps him regain his powers. She even learns of Maui's past, uncovering why he stole the Heart. The two defeat Te Kā, return the Heart of Te Fiti and stop the plague. Afterward, Moana becomes her village's new master way-finder, leading into the events of Moana 2.
Sailing into Moana 2
Moana 2 takes place three years after the previous movie. Moana receives a vision from the ancestors about a lost island. The island is precious to her people, but legends say it's cursed.
