Destiny 2: Ancient Gospel God Roll Guide

Destiny 2 has recently released a brand-new Episode Revenant during The Final Shape expansion. In this Episode, Bungie also refreshed the Garden of Salvation Raid. This Raid now has weapons whose perks have been refreshed. These weapons now come with new perks, a new Origin Trait, as well as made Craftable. The Origin Trait of this weapon is called Photoinhibition. It allows the weapons to deal bonus damage to the overshield and shield in general. Breaking the enemies’ shields with this weapon also disorients the enemies.

Ancient Gospel Overview

Ancient Gospel is an Adaptive Frame Hand Cannon that has Void affinity. This weapon used to have Solar affinity but now has Void, which is good as there are not many good Void Hand Cannons. Adaptive Frame Hand Cannons are also considered the best archetype of Hand Cannons for both PvE and PvP sandbox.

This weapon comes with 14 perk options in Destiny 2. In the left column, players can choose from Rampage, Lone Wolf, Eye of the Storm, Air Trigger, Destabilizing Rounds, Demolitionist, and Rapid Hit. In the right column, players have the choice of Kill Clip, Explosive Payload, Rangefinder, Closing Time, To the Pain, Swashbuckler, and Harmony.

PvE God Roll

For PvE, players want to boost the Reload Speed of Ancient Gospel as high as possible. Players should go for Corkscrew Rifling as the barrel option, Flared Magwell as the Magazine option, and a Reload Speed Masterwork. In the left column, players have a lot of good options. Rampage increases the damage of the weapon when players get killed with the weapon.

Destabilizing Rounds spreads Volatile upon getting kills which synergizes well with the Void subclass. Demolitionist is another great perk that allows the weapon to generate Grenade energy on kills. In the right column, the best perk to pair with any of the prior perks is Explosive Payload. It allows the weapons to gain a flat 15 percent damage bonus in PvE. It also increases the damage fall off of the weapon.

PvP God Roll

For PvP, the player wants to boost the Range of Ancient Gospel. This can be achieved by using Hammer-Forged Rifling as the Barrel option, Accurized Rounds as the Magazine option, and a Range Masterwork. In the left column, there are a lot of good options but none come close to Eye of the Storm. It is an amazing perk that boosts the weapon’s accuracy and aim assist when the player’s health gets lower.

It is one of the best dueling perks in the game. In the left perk, Kill Clip is great for relaxing the time to kill the weapon as well as increasing the damage fall off. However, Explosive Payload is a great pairing perk. It massively flinches the opposing enemies as well as increases the damage fall off of the weapon.
