Manuel Flores Continues Knockout Streak with Early Victory

Manuel Flores had another great show yet again, which has become his fourth consecutive bantamweight early knockout. It was a rising prospect that Victor Olivo was set to face on Thursday night at the Fantasy Springs Resort Casino in Indio, California, and that was made obvious when he delivered a knockout just 1 minute and 50 seconds into the fight.

The fighting strategy of Manuel Flores was also evident from the onset of the match and with the attacking manner that he assumed. Olivo was unable to gain any momentum in the fight and was quickly knocked down by a powerful body punch. Roof Referee Thomas Taylor counted out Olivo, and he could not regain consciousness to continue the fight. This win boosted Flores record to 19 wins in 22 bouts, 15 of which were knockouts.

    Manuel Flores A Rising Star

Manuel Flores has now won against his past four opponents, with the past three fights being stopped in the second round. This meets all the fans expectations. He is already popular among local people because he is young and full of talent, just 26 years old, from the city of Coachella. His only loss was in June last year when he was outpointed through a ten-round decision by Walter Santibanes in the same venue. One must say that his recent fights prove that he has a very bright future in the bantamweight division.

    Cousin Grant Flores Also Shines

In addition to Manuel, his younger cousin Grant Flores also took on a fight on the card, and like his cousin, he was dominant in his fight. At Fantasy Springs, Grant scored a six-round technical knockout against Puerto Rico’s Luis Ramos. The judges decided the match 60-53, 60-53, and 59-54 in favor of Grant, leaving him with an unbeaten record of 7-0 with five knockouts.

In another co-feature fight, an unbeaten Jose ‘Tito’ Sanchez made it nine and zero after scoring a spectacular eighth-round knockout of Mexico’s Edwin Palomares. The fight was a close call; early in the fight, Palomares was dominant. But Sanchez replied with fire and finally came back on top. The last round saw the fighters throwing heavy punches until Palomares received a right that put him down in the eighth round. The fight was stopped at 0:53 of the round, taking Sanchez’s record to 14, and 8 of those are knockouts.

    Final Thoughts

Manuel Flores and Grant Flores left fans with a strong vote of confidence by proving prowess and promissory notes in the boxing ring during their bantam performance in Fantasy Springs Resort Casino. With his fourth consecutive knockout victory, Manuel Flores, along with his cousin Grant, demonstrated a strong rise in their weight class.

Another factor that fans have to look forward to is Jose ‘Tito’ Sanchez and his defense; he’s an unbeaten fighter with a sensational knockout. What fans can now expect is how the careers of these fighters will progress and what obstacles they will come across in the complex world of professional boxing. The atmosphere for fights at Fantasy Springs is likely to bring further entertaining bouts in the future, so this is the place to look for upcoming talent.
