This 87th annual convention is September 27th-29th at the Hilton Garden Inn. The NAACP invites members, supporters, and the general public to participate in the conference. Defense attorneys for Madigan and co-defendant Michael McClain, a close Madigan associate, have said the case should be dropped after the Supreme Court blunted the federal bribery statute's scope with a June decision.
