WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — The Kansas Department of Transportation will host open houses to highlight revisions to the proposed improvements for K-254 that were presented in May .

According to KDOT, Restricted Crossing U-Turns can reduce the number of locations where crashes happen by up to 50% and can reduce right-angle crashes by up to 75%. The department says they have also been shown to limit the severity of crashes.

KDOT staff will be available to answer questions and take feedback from attendees, but no formal presentation will be given.

If you are unable to attend the open house, information about the proposal for K-254 will be available online at this website starting July 30.
