Harrisburg man sentenced for emailing death threats to government employees
DAUPHIN COUNTY, Pa (WHP) — A Harrisburg man was sentenced Tuesday for sending threatening emails to the Office of Personnel Management (OPM). Thomas West, 44, was sentenced to time served and one of supervised release in connection to threats he made in February, the Department of Justice said in a news release. At the time of West's sentencing, he'd already been in custody for over five months.

Authorities are seeking public assistance in locating Leah Rodgers, a 16-year-old girl who has been missing since July 2, 2024. Leah Rodgers is listed in the National Crime Information Center (NCIC) under the reference number M277997019. The authorities have provided two photographs of Leah Rodgers to aid in the search.

I-83 Bridge Replacement Project Gets $500 Million In Federal Funds. (Harrisburg, PA) -- The project to replace the I-83 South Bridge is getting a big boost from the federal government. The Federal Highway Administration has awarded Penn-DOT 500-million-dollars toward replacing the John Harris Memorial Bridge in Harrisburg. The money is part of more than five-billion-dollars being given to large bridge projects under the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law. Governor Josh Shapiro said this is the largest federal grant for a single transportation project in Pennsylvania history.
