Lincoln Park residents and visitors who frequent W Third Street are being greeted by barricades and detour signs this week, as a section of the road undergoes closure due to utility work. The City of Duluth has embarked on water service replacements, necessitating the temporary shutdown of the 2800 and 2900 blocks of the street. As per an official document released by the City of Duluth, since yesterday, July 22, the westbound lane from 28th Avenue W to Devonshire Street has been closed to both vehicles and parked cars. The city's statement outlined details for the detour, channeling westbound traffic towards alternate routes including First Street, Truck Center Drive, and Chestnut Street.

VIRGINIA—The Virginia Police Department is asking the public to be aware of counterfeit/fake $100 bills that were circulated at businesses around the Virginia area recently. These bills have “Motion Picture Purposes” on the back and have serial number PM 257821811 K3 on the front, according to the VPD. “We are working with the effected businesses attempting to identify a suspect, said Police Chief Nicole Mattson. “We urge everyone to closely examine all $100 bills.
