Bellisio's Italian Restaurant and Wine Bar, a staple in the culinary scene of Duluth, has been awarded the prestigious “Best of Award of Excellence” by Wine Spectator for the 25th consecutive year. The award recognizes Bellisio's outstanding wine selection and commitment to providing guests with an exceptional dining experience.
Grant Funded Shopping Spree for Boys and Girls Club of the Northland
DULUTH, Minn.– School will be in full swing soon enough. And one local organization received a grant for that special time of year. The Boys and Girls Clubs of the Northland paired up with Kohl’s to help them with school supplies this fall. Since 2019, Kohl’s has partnered up with the organization, supporting the youth across the nation. The Duluth Boys and Girls Club was selected and received a $2,000 grant. The retail store had an event Monday where organizers shopped for the things they need. The work they are doing is noticed by the kids.
Pitz and Williams Named to 2025 East-West Shrine Bowl 1000 Watchlist
Preseason recognition has begun for the University of Minnesota Duluth football team, with the announcement Tuesday that both graduate tight end Sam Pitz and sixth year offensive lineman Aiden Williams were named to the 2025 East-West Shrine Bowl 1000, an early watchlist for the annual all-star game featuring the nation's best NFL Draft prospects.
17th Annual Reggae and World Music Festival Takes Place in Duluth
DULUTH, Minn. — Duluth’s Bayfront Festival Park was full of dancing, culture, and connecting on Saturday. It was all part of the 17th Annual Reggae and World Music Festival. More than a half-dozen artists shared their music with the crowd. Food trucks were there, too, offering Jamaican dishes and other food from different cultures. For some, reggae fest is about connecting with their roots, and celebrating where they came from.

HIBBING—The Summer Classic three-pearson scramble event was held Saturday and Sunday at the Mesaba Country Club. The three-brother team of Jake, Ryan and Eric Riihinen claimed the top spot, winning the championship flight with a two-day total of 117. Army Soldiers Hosts Event To Show Community What They Do
CHISHOLM, Minn. — There’s a lot that goes on behind the scenes of the Army National Guard. On Saturday, Military members at the Chisholm Armory had the opportunity to show the community what they all do. People could check out the armory’s fleet of vehicles. Guests also had the chance to climb inside and look around. There was a lot of fun activities for the kids, like a bounce house. This type of event is especially important to the soldiers and their loved ones.

Dump truck fire at Minntac early Monday morning
U.S. Steel confirmed a fire on one of their dump trucks at Minntac in Mt. Iron. This was early Monday morning, in a remote section of the mine. The company said the driver followed all the procedures and was able to get out of the truck safely. No one was injured.
