PITTSFORD, N.Y. (WROC) — Aside from all the love they’re getting from the fans, Bills players got an extra boost Friday during training camp at St. John Fisher University.

Bills co-owner Kim Pegula has been at camp this week and even addressed the team on Friday. Pegula suffered cardiac arrest in June of 2022 and has made few public appearances since.

While she attended camp last year , the Fairport native mostly watched from an SUV. This year was different as she came onto the field and the players huddled around her.

Bills veteran offensive lineman Dion Dawkins said he couldn’t be happier to have Kim on the field.

“It just shows that you never know how life goes but you got to just keep fighting. And we’re proud of her. That’s still the mama bear and we’re happy to have her” Dawkins said.

“It means the world to me. I’ve been here for eight years, and I’m pretty sure it means just as much to these young guys that are seeing their family all in one place.”

The Pegula family purchased the Sabres in 2011 and then the Bills in 2014.
