Did you know that Brockport is the home to Camp Abilities, a week-long educational sports camp for visually impaired children? This unique camp takes place annually at the SUNY Brockport campus. It draws children ages nine to 19 from all over the state who are visually impaired, blind, or deaf-blind, as well as coaches and volunteers from all over the world. Man killed in I-490 crash in Chili identified
Monroe County sheriff's deputies have identified the man killed Wednesday night in a one-car crash on Interstate 490 in Chili. Mark A. Battaglia, 35, Stafford, Genesee County, crashed in the eastbound lanes of the highway, near Paul Road, around 9:40 p.m., said sheriff's spokeswoman Amy Young. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
