Mackay Preps for Olympic Trials
Union-Endicott alum and Binghamton University grad Emily Mackay will race in the first round of the US Olympic Trials on Thursday. "I feel good and I feel the most confident I've ever felt and definitely the most fit I've ever been," Mackay said. "So I'm mostly very excited. I think it's just going to be such a great opportunity and a great experience. And at the end of the day, I think I have a serious shot to make this team. So I'm definitely feeling the pressure from that a little bit."

Two Charged After Police Chase in Broome County
Two men are charged after a vehicle pursuit in Broome County a week and a half ago. According to the Broome County Sheriff's Department, members of the Road Patrol tried to conduct a traffic stop on Thorp Street in the City of Binghamton on June 14th. The vehicle took off at a high rate of speed, ignoring emergency lights and sirens. The chase went through the City of Binghamton, Town of Dickinson, and the Village of Johnson City. The office says the driver ignored traffic lights, drove recklessly into opposite lanes and over sidewalks.
