Across all states in America, North Carolina is considered the worst place to work according to a significant study by Oxfam. This research evaluates wage policy, worker protection, and the right to organize, excluding the top echelons like CEOs and senior management.

    Poor Rankings

    • Oxfam Survey: The study shows North Carolina has no protections against se*ual harassment in the workplace, informing its last place position in our Working Women index as well.

    Additional Poor Ratings

    Family Life Challenges

Given these factors, those who have the means to relocate might consider moving out of North Carolina to seek better opportunities and quality of life elsewhere.

Not sure where they did this study but where I work in NC harassment has a 0 tolerance and after being here for 21 years I’ve never seen anyone let go that didn’t do it to themselves. All in all a great place to work.
