1 North Carolina City Has The Pickiest Eaters In The Country

A recent report by Home Run Inn, a leading frozen pizza brand, has identified some of the cities with the pickiest eaters in the United States. Interestingly, several cities in North Carolina have made it into the rankings, with Winston-Salem leading the way.

Top Cities with the Pickiest Eaters:

1. St. Louis, MO
2. Jersey City, NJ
3. Cincinnati, OH
4. Winston-Salem, NC
5. Fort Wayne, IN

Other North Carolina Cities in the Top 50:

• Durham, NC (21st)
• Greensboro, NC (23rd)
• Raleigh, NC (45th)

Study Methodology:

• The rankings were determined by analyzing search interest for terms related to picky eating, such as meal ideas for picky eaters and ways to overcome picky eating.
• The analysis included cities with a population of at least 250,000.

Additional Findings:

• Nationwide Picky Eating: 50% of Americans consider themselves picky eaters.
• Embarrassment: One-third of picky eaters are embarrassed by their habits.
• Hiding Habits: 54% often hide their picky eating habits when dining with others.
• Overcoming Picky Eating: 45% have never attempted to overcome their picky eating habits.
• Food Preferences: 57% of picky eaters dislike vegetables, followed by seafood (56%), meat (39%), spices and seasonings (34%), and pork (33%).
• Texture Issues: A significant number of people are turned off by certain textures, with 84% disliking "slimy" foods and others avoiding "mushy," "gelatinous," or "gooey and sticky" textures.

It's clear that picky eating habits are widespread, and even in North Carolina, several cities are among the most notable for this trend.
