American flooring company closing all 400-plus stores Nationwide, 18 in NC amid bankruptcy

LL Flooring, formerly known as Lumber Liquidators, has announced it will be closing all of its stores, with closing sales starting from Sept. 6.

The flooring company, which has specialized in products like hardwood, laminate, and tile since 1993, filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy after months of financial struggles.

As part of the process, more than 400 stores across 47 states are expected to close within 12 weeks. LL Flooring's inability to find a buyer prompted the decision to shut down its operations entirely.

The closures join a growing list of major companies, such as Big Lots and Red Lobster, that have faced bankruptcy or store closures this year.

In North Carolina, several LL Flooring locations are slated to close. Here are the locations of all Stores:

• Charlotte - 1108 Thomasboro Drive.
• Gastonia - 2930 E Franklin Blvd. Ste 39-42.
• Mooresville - 510 River Highway.
• Salisbury - 403 Bendix Drive.
• Hickory - 571 US 70 SW.
• Arden - 495 Watson Road.
• Winston-Salem - 244 Summit Square Blvd.
• Durham - 3157 Hillsborough Road.
• Fayetteville - 1916 Skibo Road.
• Garner - 2558 Timber Drive.
• Greenville - 315 SE Greenville Blvd.
• Raleigh - 2011 Raleigh Blvd.
• Wilmington - 6816 Gordon Road.
• Morrisville - 9557 Chapel Hill Road.
• Kill Devil Hills - 1730 N Croatan Highway
• Burlington - 1809 S. Church St.

The liquidation sales begin from friday at all locations, offering discounted flooring products as the company winds down operations.
