Providence Road Sundries has been a staple in Charlotte, North Carolina, for nearly 90 years, starting as a small drugstore in 1933.

Over time, it evolved into a beloved neighborhood spot, famous for its comforting Southern fare, including award-winning onion rings, burgers, and wings.

Located in Myers Park, the restaurant remains a community favorite, offering fresh, in-house prepared meals, from hand-cut fries to scratch-made guacamole.

Owned by Meredith and Paul Bell, who took over in 2016, Providence Road Sundries continues to draw generations of locals.

Known for its welcoming atmosphere, the restaurant is a hub where families, sports fans, and neighbors gather, whether for a casual lunch or a lively evening at the bar. The addition of lighter menu options, like the Kale & Avocado Salad, complements the hearty staples, making it a go-to for everyone.

One Google reviewer shared his experience:

Great neighborhood spot! Kid friendly and fun atmosphere. A Charlotte staple.

Despite challenges during the pandemic, loyal customers rallied to support the restaurant's staff, a testament to the deep community ties.

Whether it's the mural depicting world-changing figures or the legendary chipotle honey wings, Providence Road Sundries is more than just a place to eat—it's a Charlotte institution.
