A Charlotte spot makes Yelp’s list of the most romantic restaurants in the US

If you’re looking for a date night spot, you may want to check out one particular restaurant in uptown Charlotte.

After being named the most romantic place to eat in North Carolina, The Cellar at Duckworth’s was named one of the most romantic in America, too.

Yelp released the top 100 romantic restaurants across the country based on highly-rated reviews. The Cellar at Duckworth’s was the only Charlotte restaurant to make the list.

The local uptown restaurant has been a popular spot for years, not just for its food, but the atmosphere, too.

Inspired and designed by speakeasies of the 1920s, the restaurant offers gastropub food from a chef-driven menu with specialty beers and creative cocktails.

“Awesome, awesome place! Perfect for a romantic date,” one Yelp review says. “The ambiance, the music, the food and the bartenders all contribute to a great experience.”

Described as a “Charlotte gem,” another review said “If you are in town, you absolutely have to go to this place! It’s probably one of the most romantic spots I’ve ever been to in Charlotte.”

The Cellar at Duckworth’s was one of two North Carolina restaurants to make Yelp’s list of most romantic spots, along with Bida Manda, a Laotian restaurant and bar in Raleigh.
