Sterling Heights police Friday released videos of their rescue of an elderly man with dementia who disappeared from his home this week. “If it was not for the hard work and due diligence by all of the officers involved, there was a high likelihood that this individual would not have survived the nearly untravellable thick woods that he was stuck in," Sterling Heights police Chief Dale Dwojakowski said in a statement. "Not only was he lost in an area that is not traveled by the public, but he already sustained injuries from being in the woods, as well as he suffered from severe dementia.

To the Marine city council
All the Marine City councilmembers repeatedly say they “love our small businesses.” But what value is professing love if it isn’t followed up with a little hugging and kissing. In the most recent example, the City Council is forcing the Brookside Bar & Grill to get a new, revised liquor license that restricts the use of their backyard property to the “hardscape patio” even though no such restriction exists for their current license.
