Genesee District Library in Linden to close in early 2025 for renovations
GENESEE COUNTY, Mich. - A local library will close early next year for renovations to be made. Genesee District Library leaders met with City of Linden officials to discuss the City’s Mill renovation project and how it will impact Linden Library services. The Linden branch will need to temporarily close in January 2025 and library equipment and materials will be removed so that renovation work can be done.
Jackson District Library seeks renewal of its operating millage
JACKSON COUNTY, MI - Jackson County voters will consider an eight-year renewal of the Jackson District Library’s operating millage during the November general election. The proposed 1.7411 millage renewal accounts for roughly 90% of the library district’s revenue and collects $9 million annually.
