Cherokee County Sheriff's Office arrests Murphy man for felony murder
MURPHY, N.C. (WLOS) — A Murphy man has been arrested for murder, according to a news release sent to News 13 on July 25 from the Cherokee County Sheriff's Office. Detective Nolan Queen said in the release that Mark Drake of Murphy was arrested for felony murder on July 24. This arrest came after an investigation by the Cherokee County Sheriff's Office and the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation into the July 19 death of Melissa Marcum, the release said.
