STAFFORD, Va. – In a scene almost out of the movies, a Stafford County Sheriff’s Office (SCSO) deputy safely wrangled three four-legged fugitives with his cruiser.

According to a media statement from the SCSO, the incident occurred Friday, July 19, 2004 on Garrisonville Road.

At 10:05 p.m., Sergeant A.T. Leckemby received a call from the emergency communications center regarding three horses running loose in the roadway near Rock Hill Church Road.

Realizing this was an immediate threat to public (and horse) safety, Sergeant Leckemby arrived on-scene and with the help of a neighbor, quickly got the horses (cleverly named Harry Trotter, David Hasselhoof and Jon Bon Pony back to their corral.

Luckily, dashcam video recorded the cowboy moves, and the SCSO added western music before uploading the clip to social media.
