STAFFORD, Va. – A man wanted by US Marshals on a felony charge called attention to himself by stealing two bottles of rum.

According to a Stafford County Sheriff’s Office (SCSO) media release, the incident occurred September 10, 2024.

At approximately 5:58 p.m., an SCSO deputy responded to the Garrison Road ABC store for reports of a larceny.

Staff advised that a male had slipped two bottles of Kraken Rum into his pockets and left the business. They watched as he drove away and were able to provide his license plate number to law enforcement.

The suspect’s vehicle was soon located in the 2700 block of Richmond Highway. Deputies made contact with the driver, who was identified as 25-year-old Alvin Jallibah.

Jallibah, who appeared intoxicated, was in possession of both bottles of stolen rum. It was soon discovered that not only did he had a suspended license, but he was also wanted by the U.S. Marshals Service for a felony violation.

Jallibah was charged with driving under the influence, drinking while driving, driving while suspended, larceny, second offense refusal of a blood/breath test (to determine level of intoxication), and a warrant of extradition.

He is being held at Rappahannock Regional Jail without bond.
