STAFFORD, Va. – A Stafford man was arrested for driving while impaired (DUI) after hitting a parked vehicle.

According to a media release from the Stafford County Sheriff’s Office (SCSO), the incident occurred October 10, 2024.

At 3:15 a.m., a SCSO deputy responded to a hit and run call on Whitson’s Run. The reporting party advised that a white sedan had hit an unoccupied truck and fled the scene.

Upon arrival, the deputy located vehicle parts which revealed that the suspect’s car was a Toyota Camry.

Two deputies proceeded to canvas the neighborhood and located a white Toyota Camry parked on Tanglewood Drive. The vehicle had damage consistent with the hit and run accident, and there was an adult male asleep in the driver’s seat.

Once awakened, Frederick Matthew Walker III was observed with bloodshot eyes and emanating a strong odor of alcohol.

Walker, 31, was arrested for DUI, refusal of blood/breath test (to determine level of intoxication) and hit and run (with damage estimated to be more than $500). He was transported to the Rappahannock Regional Jail was held on a $2,500 bond.

According to online court records, Walker is again due to appear in Stafford County General District Court on December 12.
