🚧 Overnight Closure Notice for Route 33 EB in Harrisonburg, VA Due to Bridge Work

The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) has announced that all eastbound lanes of Route 33 will be closed from 8 p.m. on May 13th to 5 a.m. on May 14th. The closure will affect the area over the Interstate 81 exit 247 overpass, stretching from Carlton Street to Burgess Road/Linda Lane in Harrisonburg, Virginia. The closure is due to scheduled bridge deck work. During this time, the eastbound Route 33 entrance ramp that leads to I81 southbound will remain open. Motorists who are traveling southbound on I81 and wish to head east on Route 33 will need to use I81 exit 247B. Commuters are advised to plan their travels accordingly to avoid delays.
