Customers, workers react to proposed merger of Albertsons and Kroger
EUGENE, Ore -- Major changes could be coming to a number of Albertsons and Safeway stores all over Oregon, including in Lane County. A potential merger is in the works between grocery chains Kroger and Albertsons. The Albertsons at the corner of Eugene's Division Avenue and River Road is one of several local stores on a list of stores that will be affected by the grocery store merger.
Oregon Ag Producers–Register for European Trade-Buyer Sessions
The Oregon Department of Agriculture has released information how ag producers can participate in sessions with European ag and food buyers in September. According to the Oregon Department of Agriculture European ag and trade officials and buyers are coming to the state, the first such visit since just before COVID in 2020. This inbound trade mission will give Oregon producers a chance to show off their offerings for these buyers.

Klamath Community College center now offers FAA-sanctioned pilot tests
KLAMATH FALLS – The Klamath Community College testing center was recently approved to administer the Federal Aviation Administration’s Airman Knowledge Testing exams. The exams assess knowledge for pilots (private, commercial and remote), maintenance personnel, dispatchers, hot air balloon pilots, parachute riggers, glider pilots, instructors (flight and ground), and small, unmanned aircraft such as small drones.
