Innovations in Real Estate Tech: AI-Driven Searches and Strategic Acquisitions Reshape the Industry

In a rapidly evolving real estate landscape, technology is taking center stage, reshaping the way agents and clients connect, search, and manage properties. CoreLogic, a leader in property data and analytics, has just introduced a groundbreaking feature to its OneHome client portal—an AI Image Search tool designed to revolutionize the home-buying experience. Meanwhile, Lofty’s strategic acquisition of Firepoint CRM and NextHome’s partnership with CubiCasa are redefining client engagement and operational efficiency across the industry.

CoreLogic's AI Image Search, a first-of-its-kind innovation in real estate, empowers buyers and agents to navigate the complexities of home selection with unprecedented ease. Instead of relying solely on traditional filters like price, location, and square footage, clients can now upload images of features they desire—whether it’s a cozy fireplace, a sprawling backyard, or a modern kitchen. The AI then scours available listings to find the closest matches, aligning visual preferences with potential homes. This feature, first adopted by Georgia-based First MLS, is now accessible to 57,000 members and their clients, marking a significant leap forward in personalized home search technology.

Kevin Greene, CoreLogic's General Manager of Real Estate Solutions, emphasizes the transformative impact of this tool. “It can be a challenge for buyers to define what they’re looking for, but they know what they like when they see it. This allows buyers to show, visually, what they want and find the closest matches.” First MLS CEO Jeremy Crawford echoes this sentiment, calling the AI-driven search a “game changer” that enhances value and deepens connections between agents and clients.

In tandem with this innovation, CoreLogic has also rolled out OneHomeowner, a home-management platform that keeps agents and clients engaged even between transactions, ensuring ongoing communication and service.

Meanwhile, Lofty, a tech-driven real estate company, has expanded its capabilities with the acquisition of Firepoint CRM, a customer relationship management platform designed by agents for agents. This move signals Lofty’s commitment to streamlining operations and enhancing the tools available to real estate professionals, enabling them to better serve their clients through more efficient and tailored communication.

Finally, NextHome, a national real estate franchise, has equipped its agents with CubiCasa’s floor plan app, providing an edge in property marketing. This partnership offers NextHome agents the ability to create detailed, accurate floor plans with just a smartphone, significantly enhancing the visual appeal of listings and giving buyers a clearer understanding of properties before setting foot inside.

These developments underscore a broader trend within the industry: the integration of advanced technology to improve client-agent collaboration, streamline operations, and ultimately, elevate the home-buying and selling experience. As these tools become more widespread, they challenge the norms of traditional real estate practices, pushing the industry toward a future where innovation drives connection and success.
