After more than a decade of being on the market, Michael Jordan's legendary Highland Park mansion may soon have a new owner. The 56,000-square-foot estate, originally listed for $29 million in 2012, has reportedly gone under contract following a significant price reduction to $14.9 million, according to a report by Crain's Chicago Business.

Jordan, the NBA icon and global sports legend, first listed the property on Leap Day in 2012. The sprawling mansion, named Legend Point, features nine bedrooms, more than a dozen bathrooms, a full-size basketball court, and a lavish "gentleman’s retreat"—complete with original doors from the Playboy Mansion in Chicago.

The property has been a mainstay of luxury real estate listings for years, often showcased through videos and exclusive tours. Though official confirmation from Jordan’s listing agent is still pending, the recent report signals a potential end to the home's extended time on the market.

    A Unique Estate

Jordan’s mansion is nothing short of extraordinary, reflecting his larger-than-life persona. The property includes a regulation-size indoor basketball court, perfect for someone of Jordan’s stature, along with a gym, tennis courts, a putting green, and a cigar room.

Despite its numerous amenities, the home struggled to find a buyer, possibly due to its specialized design and massive size, which cater to a niche luxury market. The Wall Street Journal recently spotlighted the mansion, helping to reignite interest in the property.

    The Final Stretch

If the sale goes through, it would mark the end of a 12-year saga for the property, which has seen its price cut by nearly half over the years. As one of the most iconic properties linked to a sports figure, Jordan’s Highland Park estate is not just a house—it's a piece of NBA history.
