New Hampshire Homeowners Unleash a T-Rex Squad to Sell Their Home—And It’s a Roaring Success!

As the leaves turn and Halloween approaches, homeowners in Londonderry, New Hampshire, have found an unexpectedly whimsical approach to real estate: enlisting a trio of inflatable T-Rexes to help sell their three-bedroom home. This quirky strategy aims to capture the attention of potential buyers and inject some levity into the often stressful home-selling process.

In a listing that has gone viral, these inflatable dinosaurs bring a fun twist to the traditional property photo shoot. From greeting visitors in the driveway to serving as hilarious kitchen staff and even lounging by the TV, the T-Rexes create a memorable atmosphere that sets this listing apart. This playful staging is not just about attracting laughs; it’s designed to help the home stand out in a crowded market.

“I wanted to do everything to help the homeowner sell her house,” said Jonathan Benton, the listing agent from East Key Realty. “After successfully using a similar T-Rex concept in Nashua, I knew we had to try it again.” Benton’s innovative marketing approach seems to be paying off; he reports an instant influx of interest, with showings requested within just half an hour of uploading the photos.

This “dino-mite” property, sprawled across 1.91 “jawesome acres,” boasts vaulted ceilings in each bedroom—large enough to make even a pterodactyl envious. The listing invites buyers to “stomp through the main living area” and indulge in some “dino-trekking” on the newly installed carpet upstairs.

Benton’s mission was clear: to entertain and engage potential buyers. “I thought, ‘Why can’t we have more levity in the world?’” he explained. Armed with an extra Halloween costume from the previous year, he teamed up with his friend Alex Newell, who donned the T-Rex suit for the photoshoot. The homeowner embraced the lighthearted concept, contributing to a unique marketing narrative.

Notably, this isn’t the first time New Hampshire homeowners have added a touch of humor to their listings. Two years prior, a seller staged their home with the iconic horror character Michael Myers, showing that creativity in real estate can yield entertaining—and effective—results.

Built in 1978, this spacious 2,981-square-foot residence features a chef’s kitchen adorned with granite countertops, a central island, stainless steel appliances, and a bright dining area. With hardwood floors, exposed beams, and a screened-in porch, the interior exudes charm. Plus, the property offers a “triceratops-sized” mudroom for easy cleanup after outdoor adventures and two new wood stoves for cozy warmth through the winter months.

With an open house scheduled for this weekend, Benton is optimistic about the interest this whimsical approach will generate. “I’ve already received lots of calls on this listing,” he said. “It’s already attracting a lot of attention, and I can’t wait to see how it unfolds.”

As the real estate market continues to evolve, the Londonderry T-Rex squad demonstrates that a little creativity and humor can go a long way in making a home memorable—and may just lead to a successful sale.
