Santa Cruz Celebrates Ron Whaley's 30th Anniversary with Classic Giraffe Graphic Re-Release

To celebrate Ron Whaley's 30th anniversary as a pro skateboarder, Santa Cruz re-released his classic Giraffe graphic on a modern shape (featuring their VX Everslick construction at Ron's request). 30 years!? Whaley has had quite a career and has done a great job in recent years being one of the most familiar faces at NHS. Watch him do what he does best in the clip below!

Was anyone else blown away seeing the difference in size between the new board and the original? Did he say 7.4!? Hard to imagine, especially considering the dude wears a size 13! The new board dimensions are 9.0 x 32.15 (makes sense) and again, feature Santa Cruz's VX Everslick construction. Look at that thing shining in the sun!

Ron’s still got it, no doubt about it. His style is unmistakable—you can spot it from a mile away, and I mean that in the best way possible! Three decades with the same board brand is pretty gnarly. Many of you probably haven’t even been around that long! But that’s beside the point. What matters is that he's still pushing and we love to see it. Whaley is a lifer.
