Tony Hawk just shared some rare footage from the last stop of the 1989 USA Bones Brigade tour offering a unique glimpse of what it was like "driving across the east coast in a beat-up van and skating a mini ramp as hard as possible every day for three straight weeks." This is pure nostalgic gold! Check it out:

"The crew was Kevin Harris, Ray Underhill, Eric Sanderson, Steve Saiz and my pony tail," Tony wrote in the caption. "My mixtapes were the soundtrack to many of our demos. You can hear some THPS influences blasting through… try to catch ‘em all." Did you guys catch any? So rad.

As fun as that mini ramp looks, this crew was still hungry for some proper vert during these days, and Tony mentions, "We were so desperate to skate vert that we started forcing tricks like 360 varials and McTwists within the confines of our 6-foot walls," which is pretty funny. "I fondly remember this tour as beautiful, unregulated chaos. We gave it our all, enjoyed the ride, and even enjoyed the challenges along the way thanks to Ray and his relentless humor."

Footage like this is pretty incredible. At the time, you know it's a big deal, which is usually why you're there filming it in the first place. But with each passing year, each passing decade, these clips turn into priceless gems; memories of a time that often feels more like a dream than the actual past, you know? I'm sure we can all relate one way or another. So cool.

Tony went on and thanked Instagram user, @love_to_skate_to_love for documenting the day, and more so, keeping the footage safe for the last 35 years. And I think we can all agree we're just as thankful. Thanks as always for the trip down memory lane, Tony. This was so fun to watch. Raise your hand if you were there!
