St. Aloysius opened their season with a 14-0 shutout victory over Carroll Academy. The Lady Flashes went up 4-0 in the first inning after a two-run single from Mallory Spencer and a one-run triple from Kennadi Blassingame. Madison Spencer also hit an RBI. NEW ORLEANS — New Orleans Mayor LaToya Cantrell has been hit with a federal Civil rights lawsuit by the woman she tried to accuse of stalking her. Pontalba resident Anne Breaud filed the lawsuit Friday against Cantrell, her chief of staff Clifton Davis and three police officers involved in taking the mayor's police report, in which she claims Breaud stalked and harassed her. The officers are Leslie Guzman, Victor Gant and Ryan St. Martin.

Baton Rouge, LA – Bally’s Corporation has announced a definitive merger agreement with Standard General L.P., its largest stockholder, to acquire the company’s outstanding shares for $18.25 per share.
