A private Boy Scout camp in Hardwick, Camp No-Be-Bo-Sco is forever engraved into cinematic history. The first Friday the 13th movie was filmed here– a cult-classic slasher film centered around mass murderer, Jason Voorhees.

The movie's premise revolves around Jason Vorhees who was just a boy when he drowned at this very camp and it has since been cursed.

Camp No-Be-Bo-Sco originally opened in 1927, making it the oldest continuously operating Scout camp in New Jersey. Since then, it has been closed to the public since 2011.

In recent years, public tours have been held on the anniversary of Friday the 13th in a homage to the famous film. They've been held since 2013 and have been absolute successes with tickets selling out fast and people traveling from all over the world to attend.

As you can see from some of these pictures, the camp does give off a certain type of creepy aura, despite Friday the 13th being a fictional film.
