    The Clearest Lake in Texas is Almost too Beautiful to be Real

    Texas is a state filled with gorgeous waterways to explore. From the Rio Grande in the west to the Gulf of Mexico in the east, we're downright spoiled when it comes to beautiful water scenery.

    If you're looking for some of the cleanest and most pristine water in the state, The Lake Meredith National Recreation Area is the place to go. This hidden oasis is home to 200-foot canyons, hiking trails, a campground, and some of the clearest lake water you can find.

    Nestled in the secluded area of the Texas panhandle in the town of Fritch, this park is surrounded by wide open plains as far as the eye can see. It is about 30 miles east of Amarillo and the perfect place to head to if you're looking for some breathtaking scenery without the crowds.

    The water within the quarry park is always the perfect temp just as long as it is a warm and sunny day. An amazing spot to cool off in the summer months, this lake is shielded from the wind by the canyons that surround it making it ideal for water sports, boating, and fishing.

    This little slice of paradise also makes for a great spot to hike. Be sure to bring a camera because the nature that surrounds this park contains some incredible wildlife and scenery. There are 5 different trails to explore here.
