This Iconic Texas Restaurant is Known for a Single Menu Item

    2024-05-16

Finding a restaurant that's been making traditional food the same way for generations is not so easy.

Old-school and family-owned, these beloved restaurants are often preferred over corporate chains for their authenticity, community orientation, and friendlier service.

Sodolak's Original Country Inn is one of those places. This iconic steakhouse restaurant has been around for decades and has grown into a Texas destination.

Located out in Burleson County in the town of Snook, the restaurant prides itself on being the first to introduce chicken fried bacon to the Lone Star State.

The restaurant's signature chicken fried bacon is the real star of the show here and it tastes exactly how it sounds–long crispy strips of bacon that are coated in a breading and then fried to golden-brown perfection.

That's right, this local delicacy is what makes this steakhouse spot truly incredible and you can't dine at Sodolak's without indulging in it. Just be sure to dip it in their homemade cream gravy for the ultimate chicken fried experience.

In addition to this, Sodolak's also serves up incredible fried chicken, juicy burgers, and sirloin steaks within their rustic dining space that will seriously take you back in time to the good old days.
