Downtown Milledgeville: Brunch and Visiting a Local Urban Legend
This is our third installment in our four part series of our visit to Milledgeville, home to the infamous abandoned Central State Hospital, once known as The Asylum for Lunatics, Idiots, and Epileptics. Here, we leave the campus and all things possibly paranormal behind to explore downtown a little by having brunch at the Local Yokel and then checking out the unique thrift store next door. This amazing second-hand store has something for everyone, (and we mean that) from an early 20th Century ELECTRIC CHAIR, to vintage swords. After that, we explored the downtown cemetery which housed some of this once former capitol of Georgia's most notable characters, including former founders of the asylum as well as iconic politicians in Georgia History. #haunted #history #foodreview #brunch #cemetery
