THE GIRL IN THE DOLLHOUSE GRAVE • Was This Stolen?
#dollhouse #famousgraves #history #cemetery #foodreview In this episode, Tommy and I make a pilgrimage to the grave Nadine Earles, who passed away in 1933 at the age of four. Her unique monument in the small town of Lanett, Alabama, draws visitors from around the globe. This tiny house is a true testament of the love between a parent and their child, and it's hard not to find yourself moved by its presence in an otherwise ordinary cemetery. After that, Tommy and I tried out Guthrie's Original Chicken Finger Restaurant only to discover that another popular chain seems to have swiped the concept from this brand which was established in 1965. Was this recipe stolen and is it better than other fast food chicken chains? Check out our food review at the end of the video to find out what we think
WE WERE TOTALLY UNPREPARED!!!! Cartecay River Adventure... Is it for the novice?
#tubing #adventure #river #funny #familyfriendly In this episode, Tommy and I are once again joined by our good friends, Zach, Ashley and two of their kids to try out what might be some of the best tubing in North Georgia... We were unprepared for the rapids, waterfalls and whirlpools, and after a few hits on boulders and barrel rolls under water, we realized how ill-equipped we really were. But, is it safe for people of all ages and experience levels? We'll leave that for you to decide. One thing is for sure, Cartecay River Adventure is as fun as it is full of exactly what the name suggests, ADVENTURE!! This tubing experience included some of the fastest rapids, a whirlpool, and a WATERFALL!
Is This Place REALLY HAUNTED??? Investigating Central State Hospital's Urban Myths
#haunted #history #paranormal #investigation #insaneasylum DISCLAIMER!! WE ARE NOT PROFESSIONAL PARANORMAL INVESTIGATORS. ALL FOOTAGE IN THIS VIDEO WAS SHOT TO INVESTIGATE THIS HISTORICAL AND ALSO INFAMOUS LANDMARK'S ALLEGED HAUNTINGS. WE DID SO WITH THE INTENT OF REMAINING RESPECTFUL WHILE ALSO TRYING TO KEEP THE VIDEO ENTERTAINING FOR OUR VIEWERS. In this episode, we wrap up our final part in this four part series of exploring Central State Hospital's Campus; also once known as the Georgia State Asylum for Lunatics, Idiots, and Epileptics. This hospital was founded in the 1840's and while it does have a dark history, it also provided, and still does to this day, a place for the unwanted and unclaimed to go. BUT, is it HAUNTED? You be the judge.
Downtown Milledgeville: Brunch and Visiting a Local Urban Legend
This is our third installment in our four part series of our visit to Milledgeville, home to the infamous abandoned Central State Hospital, once known as The Asylum for Lunatics, Idiots, and Epileptics. Here, we leave the campus and all things possibly paranormal behind to explore downtown a little by having brunch at the Local Yokel and then checking out the unique thrift store next door. This amazing second-hand store has something for everyone, (and we mean that) from an early 20th Century ELECTRIC CHAIR, to vintage swords. After that, we explored the downtown cemetery which housed some of this once former capitol of Georgia's most notable characters, including former founders of the asylum as well as iconic politicians in Georgia History. #haunted #history #foodreview #brunch #cemetery
Asylum Tour: The History of Central State Hospital
In this episode, Tommy and I, along with our friends, take the paid trolley tour around the campus of Central State Hospital before setting off on our own discovery. This 2,500 acre complex once was home to Georgia's only asylum, formerly called; The Lunatic, Idiot and Epileptic Asylum. Now abandoned by the state, the rambling multistoried buildings are crumbling and most are irreparably damaged. A draw to history buffs and ruin porn lovers alike, touring the campus doesn't disappoint, but remember trespassing carries a tune of $10k and a felony if convicted. Staying on the Campus of an Abandoned LUNATIC Asylum
In this episode, Tommy and I bring a few close friends and their ghost hunting equipment along with us as we spend a weekend on the campus of the infamous Central State Hospital, Georgia's oldest and at one time ONLY asylum for the insane. While the campus might be in shambles, the Airbnb we rented was like stepping into a time capsule. Join us as we explore the myths and legends surrounding this historical and dark part of Georgia History, setting out to discover for ourself if the rumors are true and this campus is haunted by the tortured souls who once were forced to call this home. This will be a four part series because there was so much to explore on this massive abandoned campus.
Medical History was Made HERE!
In this episode, Tommy and I FINALLY visit the long awaited Crawford Long Museum in Jefferson, Ga. Medical history was made in this tiny little town with the discovery of anesthesia. Afterwards, we had lunch at Tino's Tex-Mex Cantina which left us with some mixed feelings and a mixed food review.
We Refuse to Give Up!
In this episode, Tommy and I return to our land to work more on our wild pond, which is quickly getting the better of us. Special shout out to my dad for all his help and to both my parents for cooking and putting up with us. Also, we're probably the last people on earth who have never eaten at a Panera Bread, so we got the opportunity to try that. If you're in the market for a really cool salt or fresh water fish store, this place has it all and the people are pretty great, also. https://www.thefishroom.net/collections/cary-inventory
This Little Town Keeps on Giving: Calloway Plantation
In this episode, Tommy and our crew luck up with the MOST FUN guide ever!!! The guide at the Calloway Plantation was full of laughter, fun, and stories! This beautifully preserved 1700's estate offers so much in the way of showing how life in Colonial Times was. Afterwards, we had lunch at Maddy's Public House (aka, Maddy's Pub) on the square in downtown Washington. This Irish pub offered tasty treats to please even the most discerning palate, such as a six-year-old's... who has recently begun to venture into eating meat.
Rhododendron Festival in Hiawassee • Eating The BEST Soul Food in North Georgia
In this episode, Tommy and I return to the North Georgia Mountains to visit the Rhododendron Festival at the Georgia Mountain Fair Grounds. Afterwards, we head towards Cleveland to eat what might just be the BEST soul food in the Northeast Georgia Mountains. Auntie's Soul Food Diner is legitimately a hidden gem. https://georgiamountainfairgrounds.com/localevents/id/227
Earth Day Festival: Exploring Georgia's First Free Public Library and a Rock Star Artist
In this episode, we're back to what is quickly becoming our favorite go-to spot; Washington, GA. You simply cannot beat this little town for food, festivals, history, and culture! Washington turned out to celebrate Earth Day in a big way and we were there for it! Join us as we visit the first free Public Library in the state of Georgia, take the historical walking tour, listen to live music, eat some awesome festival eats, and get a live demo from Patrick Blount, owner of Greenhow Handmade Ironworks Blacksmithing shop. Afterwards, we have excellent Birria Tacos from Chela's. DO NOT sleep on this beautiful little town and all it has to offer! First Hike of the Season: Anna Ruby Falls
In this episode, Tommy and I venture out to Anna Ruby Falls, just outside of Helen, Georgia, for our first hike of the season. It's been a long winter of non-activity and trekking the inclines might have been just too much of a challenge for this winter bear body!
Amazing Exhibit: Gone with the Wind Museum in Marietta does not Disappoint!!
In this episode, Tommy and I go back to Marietta, Ga., to visit the newly re-opened Gone with the Wind Museum. This collection of historical movie props and paraphernalia is absolutely amazing. Afterwards, we go to Cumming, Ga., to eat at one of our favorite Asian restaurants, Fuku.
Rainy Day Food Review: Fuku Asian Bistro
In this episode, Tommy and I spend the afternoon at one of our local favorite restaurants. Fuku Asian Bistro is a locally owned Asian Fusion Restaurant specializing in Japanese, Chinese, and Thai. The food there is consistently amazing and the service is top notch. Fuku is located off Keith Bridge Road in Cumming, GA.
Brutal Double Murder Has Given This Small Georgia Town A Haunting Legacy
In December of 1982, the quiet town of Summerville, Georgia was rocked by the horrifying double murder of Dr. Charles Scudder and his life partner, Joey Odom. 41 years later, their deaths are still talked about and their former residence has become a pilgrimage spot for the paranormally curious and crime junkies alike. Corpsewood Manor lay in ruins, but this doesn't stop the ghostly activity that many feel takes place on the remote grounds of the Scudder-Odom residence.
Exploring the Beautiful Art in this Local Cemetery
In this episode, Tommy and I kept it close to home and visited Alta Vista Cemetery in our home base of Gainesville, to check out some famous graves. Afterwards, we headed to Zaxby's for our standard sharable chicken finger plate and some of their new peach tea. The tea is worth the visit!!!!!
