GRAND TRAVERSE COUNTY - If you keep hitting strikes with what to do with the family this may be a homerun. The Traverse City Police Department is versing the Traverse City Fire Department in a fundraiser softball game hosted by 911 Restoration at Turtle Creek Stadium on Sunday.

This is the first annual game and they are hoping it continues for years to come. The winner will receive a trophy and bragging rights but the proceeds of the game will go fifty- fifty between both departments to use towards any advancements they need.

Brandy Trussell, Business Development Manager At 911 Restoration, says, “So 911 Restoration is as a company, we that’s what we do. We do restoration for water, fire, mold, trauma, biohazard, crime scene cleanup. So we work very independently with the local firefighters. And we also work with the police officers. So we wanted to be able to give them something back for everything that they do.”

In between innings there will be fun games played on the field. Some of which include, police verse fire tug of war, run of the bases, a sparky dash, and one mystery game that involves the team captains. If you are looking to buy tickets they can be purchase at the door or on the Traverse City Pit Spitter’s website .
